Westside Independent is an online newspaper for the Upper West Side of Manhattan. It covers the kind of news that a local newspaper covers — crime, politics, real estate, education and the arts.
The neighborhood is bounded by the Hudson River on the West and by Central Park on the East. There’s some debate about the northern and southern boundaries, but we’ll use 59th street and 110th, at least to start. We also cover news about Central Park.
