Harlem Meer Performance Festival
Free concerts featuring the best in local established and emerging artists in the genres of jazz, Latin, gospel and world music. This week: Retumba (Pan-Caribbean). All ages welcome. At Central Park’s Harlem Meer. 2 – 4 p.m. FREE.

Acoustic Sundays
Enjoy spectacular sunsets over the Hudson as you listen to some of New York’s best jazz, R&B, and world music. This week’s performer: Liony Parra Y La Mega Mafia Tipico. Wildly danceable merengue. Pier I at 70th Street. 7 p.m. FREE.

The Hudson Warehouse presents, Cyrano de Bergerac (6 March 1619 – 28 July 1655) was a French dramatist and duellist who is now best remembered for the many works of fiction which have been woven around his life story. In these fictional works he is featured with an overly large nose; portraits suggest that he did have a big nose, though not nearly as large as described in this outdoor theater performance. West 89th and Riverside Drive. 6:30 p.m. FREE.

Shakespeare in the Park presents The Winter’s Tale
Directed by Michael Greif. At the Delacorte Theater. 8 p.m. FREE.

Clint Eastwood Film Festival

Boomerang Theatre: The Tempest
A storm brings the passengers of a royal vessel crashing onto the unforgiving rocks of a desolate island paradise. Dark forces and magic lead the castaways and the island’s inhabitants in a struggle for revenge, love and freedom. In Central Park at 69th Street and Central Park West. 2 p.m. FREE.

Kayaking on the Hudson
Join the Downtown Boathouse for 20-minute instructional paddles, and explore the Hudson River first hand. Please wear a bathing suit or shorts and a t-shirt, and know how to swim. Riverside Park South is located on the Hudson River between 59th and 72nd Streets. 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. FREE.
