Another Woman Attacked in Riverside Park

453-10 24 Pct 07-05-10.JPGA second woman was attacked in Riverside Park last Monday, possibly by the same man who assaulted a Barnard student that day. The 48-year-old woman, who was walking around 98th Street in the park about 6:20 a.m., was attacked from behind and struck in the head, then kicked repeatedly once she went down, the New York Post reported. She was treated for bruises. (the first attack occured on 120th Street at about 6 a.m. that day. The second woman came forward after hearing about the first attack.

Police released a drawing of a man suspected in both attacks (left). He is described as a thin black man, about 5’8″ tall, and he was wearing blue shorts. Call 1-800-577-TIPS if you have any information about the attack.
