After 46 years in business, O’Neals’ closed its doors for good on Monday with a party open to the community. Longtime fans crowded the bar and the restaurant, watching the game and discussing old times. O’Neals’, which had entrances on both 64th and 65th Streets off Broadway, was a popular hangout for Lincoln Center artists and patrons. It existed in various incarnations for 46 years. A new seafood restaurant, Atlantic Grill Lincoln Center, is expected to open in the space in August. All photos by Whitney Hess. See more here. And check out our article on the Boat Basin, which is owned by the same family.
