Big Daddy’s is Open; Eat Burgers to 80’s Music

Big Daddy’s, the diner chain that recently migrated to 91st Street and Broadway, is open and was serving lunch last week. Next week it plans to serve breakfast and dinner too, an employee told us. The restaurant has an 80’s theme, and it plays 80’s music. But do the waitresses have big hair and wear blazers with shoulder pads?
At first glance, some parts of the menu look pretty pricey — $9 for two eggs with home fries and toast. That certainly doesn’t remind me of the 80’s. But if the burgers are good ($10-$13), all will be forgiven. Let us know if you try one. (thanks to tipsters Gavan and Linda. Photo by Linda)
