Frank McCourt School Open House Monday Night

The Frank McCourt High School, which will open this fall in the Louis D. Brandeis High School building on 84th Street just West of Columbus Avenue, is hosting an open house Monday night. Anyone interested in sending their kids to the school, volunteering or otherwise being involved is invited to meet and greet at 6:30 p.m.

The school will offer a full slate of high school classes, but focus particularly on community service and writing. It has received more than 100 applications for the 8 or so teaching spots. And it’s filled about one-third of the 9th-grade class so far.

Questions? Contact the principal Danielle Salzberg at fmhsnyc at gmail dot com. She’s happy to set up interviews with parents who might want to send their kids to Frank McCourt.
