The Cirque du Soleil show Banana Shpeel has been delayed until March 17, Playbill reported today. The show was expected to start on Feb. 25 at the Beacon Theater on Broadway and 74th Street, but it is now on hold for some “retooling,” the magazine reported.
“The rehearsal period at the theatre has been extended to integrate new performance elements,” the producers told Playbill. This is the second time the show has been delayed.
People who bought tickets to the show for performances scheduled between Feb. 25 and March 14 can get new tickets to another performance of their choice (as long as it’s available). Call 800-653-8000 for more information on how to get new tickets. (the show’s website still says it will start on Feb. 25.)
