As you promenade through the heart of Central Park, imagine yourself living in 19th-century New York City. Learn about the Park’s history and hear how its designers, Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux, struggled to make their vision our reality. Meet outside the Central Park Dairy Gift Shop, mid-Park at 65th Street. 12 p.m. FREE.
Belvedere Castle Tour
Take a walk around the lands dominated by Belvedere Castle, situated high on Vista Rock. Visit the tiny 55-acre realm on an eclectic tour of history and nature. Belvedere Castle, mid-Park at 79th Street. 1 p.m. FREE.
GreenFlea Market
GreenFlea has been operating for more than 25 years on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. It was among the first open air markets in the city. Combining both antique/vintage collectibles and new handcrafted items, it is an ideal place to look for something different to give or to keep. On Columbus Avenue between 76th and 77th Street. 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Israeli Arts and Crafts
In honor of the 6th Annual Day of Kabbalah which is focusing on the town of Tzfat, we are welcoming artists from Israel to the JCC. Come to lobby anytime time between 9am and 9pm to meet the artists and view and purchase their wonderful work. There will be ceremonial art as well as decorative art in ceramic, glass, wood paper and more. The work ranges in price from $10-$350. At the JCC, on Amsterdam Avenue and 76th Street. 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.
