Woman Killed in Hit and Run on 90th Street

A trio of thieves suspected of stealing drugs from a nearby pharmacy ran over a woman carrying groceries on 90th Street and Broadway Friday night, killing her, police told the Daily News.

The hit and run occurred around 8 p.m. shortly after a drug store robbery, where thieves had stolen the allergy drug Zyrtec. Police officers were close on the tail of the suspects as they tore down Broadway and then swung a U-turn before hitting the woman, the News reported; they caught one of the men as he fled on foot. The suspects were traveling in a 2010 Ford, police said in a bulletin, though the News reported that the car was a black Dodge Charger.
The 39 -year old woman, who was pronounced dead at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital, has not yet been identified by police.
