Two Concerts to Benefit Haiti, Thursday and Friday

The Stephen Wise Free Synagogue at 30 West 68th Street is holding a concert of Jewish music on Thursday night at 7 p.m. to benefit the AJWS Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund. The minimum donation is $18, and the event will feature all sorts of music from klezmer to hip-hop. On Friday at 7 p.m.,  The Calhoun School is holding a benefit concert  at the school on 81st Street and West End Avenue. The concert will feature the Carbon Fiber Concert with Synchronicity and violinist Laura Goldberg.  Ticket revenues will go to Doctors Without Borders. Middle schoolers will also be on hand, selling handmade “Hugs to Haiti” stuffed dolls. Tickets are $10 for adutls and $5 for students and seniors. Reservations may be made online at www.calhoun.org/reservations.
