As Bank Branches Spread, Upper West Siders Go Slightly Crazy

Banks have officially taken over the Upper West Side. So it’s hard to blame the person who scrawled the message above for believing that the former Tim Horton’s on Broadway between 95th and 96th Street would become a Citibank. It’s a funny little piece of graffiti, isn’t it? It seems like both an advertisement (free checking!) and a harbinger of doom (Zombies coming!). Though it’s maybe not as mysterious as the street drawing we highlighted last week.
By the way, we checked with the broker and Citibank ain’t coming. Then again, that’s exactly what Citibank would want the broker to say…
