Yes, those are Greek columns sticking out the back of that convertible driving away from Tavern on the Green Saturday. That was how awesome the Tavern on the Green going-out-of-business tag sale was. Never before have we heard more New Yorkers saying “Oh my God” at a tag sale. There were quite a few “Oh my God” items, and they were almost preposterously inexpensive — as in two formal white tablecloths for $20, or black satin jackets with glitter pictures of ladies riding tigers for less than $10. Did You Lose Your Shiba Inu?

Someone found a small Shiba Inu on Wednesday night at 102nd Street and Broadway and is looking for the owner via Craigslist. Spread the word. Shiba Inus are, in fact, the cutest dogs in the world. (Yes, the Westside Independent’s official mascot happens to be a Shiba Inu.)
