Fordham Says “Stay Off Our Lawn!”

For years, Fordham University let people who live in the Alfred Condominium on 61st street and Amsterdam walk across the campus to get to West 62nd Street. But that’s about to end, says the New York Times. Just a few months after the condominuium sued Fordham over its plans to expand to build new business and law schools, the university ended a lease that granted residents access so that they wouldn’t have to traipse around the block just to cross the street. A condo owner called the decision “vindictive.” Fordham wouldn’t comment.
