Open and Shut: You Will Need Five Napkins for This One

This week’s edition of Open and Shut is particularly delicious, as Upper West Siders get ready for a much-heralded burger chain’s entrance. In other news, New Jersey is leaving the neighborhood, and we hardly got to know it!

OPEN:

5 Napkin Burger
The celebrated Hell’s Kitchen burger joint is opening up in Ollie’s old spot on 84th and Broadway. If you’re not into beef burgers, the restaurant also has veggie burgers, lamb kofta burgers and an Ahi tuna burger, along with sushi. But the beef burger has made this place famous. Strawberry
The retailer, selling junior and women’s apparel, opened a new location last Tuesday on Broadway between 73rd and 74th Streets.

‘wichcraft
Tom Colicchio’s sandwich shop, which already has a popular location at Bryant Park, opened up in the new Rubenstein Atrium at Lincoln Center, at 63rd Street (via MyUpperWest).

Jimmy’s Custom Framing
A framing shop will be opening up in the space that Bruno’s Ravioli recently vacated on Broadway between 78th and 79th streets.

SHUT:

Jubilee
The shoe store, between 76th and 77th Streets on Broadway, is closed.

New Jersey Tourism Office
New Jersey tried valiantly to get Upper West Siders to cross the river by opening a tourism office at the corner of 73rd Street and Columbus Avenue. Alas, the former home of La Belle Epoque Vintage Posters is now vacant once again.

Yuki Sushi
The Japanese restaurant at 92nd Street and Amsterdam Avenue with the renowned sake list has closed down. (thanks to tipster Marjorie)
